Ellie Angel-Mobbs on her new gig at 2Day FM

Staff Writer

Ellie Angel-Mobbs is stepping down from her 2Day FM workday gig after eight consecutive years, but she’s not leaving the network.

Ellie told Radio Today that she is still working at 2Day FM in a new content assistant and producer role. She will also cover a weekend shift on-air in addition to her new duties.

“Holy crap. It’s been one hell of a ride!,” she shared on Instagram. “I’ll be staying at 2Day producing some big shows, doing a bunch of content roles and still going on-air on weekends because I need my Ed Sheeran fix.”

When she semi-retires the headphones in four weeks, Ellie’s first priorities are Weekend Breakfast with Ryan and Tanya and The Queen Sesh with Constance Hall and Annaliese Dent.

And we should point out that Ellie now holds the record for the longest-serving workday announcer at the Sydney station.

SCA is already recruiting a replacement to cover afternoons on Sydney’s hit music station; you will find the details on our jobs page.
