Edge NZ : Social Media Milestone

Staff Writer

In NZ The Edge radio brand is celebrating a social media milestone, clocking over 250k of likes on Facebook. That makes them the first media channel in New Zealand to achieve this level of social media reach.

MediaWorks Group Head of Consumer Engagement, Cate Owen says: “It’s because of fan engagement that we can pull off successful escapades like Lost in a Box, The Social Games, and Love You Man, all of which starred, and were often controlled by, our fans. Their commitment to The Edge is what makes these campaigns some of the biggest and most effective in the country.”

MediaWorks Radio Group Content Director, Leon Wratt says: “The Edge has had a record-breaking year, and there’s no doubt the loyal, engaged audiences that tunes in to top music and personalities like Jay-Jay, Mike and Dom on whatever platform or device they prefer is absolutely key to that success. It’s great to be celebrating another milestone!”

The Edge is the #1 radio station in New Zealand with the last survey revealing 465,300 listeners tuning in each week.
