Dylan Lewis to depart Nova 91.9 Breakfast at year’s end
NOVA Entertainment has announced that Nova Adelaide Breakfast host Dylan Lewis will depart the network
Lewis joined Nova 91.9 Breakfast in 2012, and hosted the show for several years alongside Shane Lowe.
Lowe left the station in October of 2018, and Lewis has since hosted Breakfast with Haley Pearson
The pair rated 10.6% (+0.9) in last week’s fifth survey of 2019, and will continue together until the end of the year, but Lewis will not return in 2020.
“Dylan has had a great career with the Nova Network over the past 13 years,” said NOVA Entertainment group program director Paul Jackson.
“We would like to thank him for his passion and contribution during his time with the network and wish him well for the future.”
Dylan Lewis first joined the network at Melbourne’s Nova 100 in 2006.
“I’ve been blessed to have been with Nova for 13 years,” he said. “I’ve worked with some beautiful people who have become lifelong friends.
“I’ve had the opportunity to become supreme at my job and I’ve become more handsome with age. Now, I look forward to spending more time with my family back in Melbourne and sleeping in.
“I also look forward to seeing what the next exciting chapter will be in my career. I think I’ll be a rock star for a while. Watch this space. Love you. Dylan.”
NOVA Entertainment will make an announcement regarding Nova 91.9’s new Breakfast show for 2020 in due time.
Smallzy
It’s moving season. And…here…we…GO!
Good on him, wasted talent in the Adelaide market!
Fitzy coming home
Someone please reunite the Lewis and Lowe show. It’s time. Its hasn’t been the same since Shane Lowe left.
Lewis and Lowe 2020.
Congrats Dylan on a stellar career. you have been a star for Nova. Wishing you all the best…sorry i dont have anymore free passes to the Farm Barn
Adelaide radio just lost an absolute legend!
Great talent, looking forward to hearing what’s next for Dylan. Bring back music T.V!
Hall and Oates for Adelaide Breakfast
Word is Nova will Network Fitzy and Wippa into Adelaide. Fitzy is a home grown Adelaide legend and Adelaide just can’t afford quality talent. Would work well except for NRL v AFL but ways around that. Good on Nova leading the way with networking. F&W in the morning KTM in the afternoon. Winning combo.
Whenever this sort of stuff happens people always roll out the “I hear they’ll network another breakfast into that market” it’s never going to happen. It would be madness to remove all localism from the two markets that show would be servicing.
If it was to happen I’d be amazed at the decision and wouldn’t imagine it would last long. Regardless of how popular a host may be. Mix win Adelaide because they’re local and consistent.
Adelaide is a big market and should be a launchpad for fresh talent. It they can’t get a decent show for Nova 91.9 we’re all doomed.
If they do network it should be Crissy, Sam and Browny . Best show onair at the moment.
Dylan will be picked up by another station in Melbourne for next year. Too good a talent to not be in air!
Whisper that Hayley will present a Smooth style music shift… competent on air jock, cheaper shift. Financial decision?
Soda anyone?
No revenue in Adelaide so Nova will go for a Smooth type breakfast format. Hayley is terrific just put her with someone like Angus, Soda or Gawndy and will do good numbers. The days of high price breakfast show are gone.
Angus and Hayley you can put money on it. Good one Nova.
How about a couple of females for breakfast Nova ?
Rove for Nova Adelaide he might work there !
Fresh 92.7 it is then.
Kyle and team national but Sydney based out of Melbourne like drive
Fitzgerald staying in Sydney
Perth Brisbane see survey 7 for a those shows
New young radio one type format tbc by government and triple j
I love Dylan Lewis, Dylan for breakfast on 2day FM. He would be fabulous in the Sydney market.
Easy fix bring Shane Lowe back with Hayley.
Nice idea Smallsy Adelaide Breakfast he cant be the ‘ night jock ‘ forever. This would be a good career move for him. I’d like to hear that.
Byron Cooke heading to Adelaide.
Without Dylan, that’s the end of that breakfast show! Goodbye.
