Double milestone for 105.1 Triple M’s ‘Dangerous’ Dave Williams

Reporter

Those who’ve been lucky enough to work with ‘Dangerous’ Dave Williams can attest that he is one nicest, most down-to-earth guys in radio, and this week the long standing Triple M host is celebrating not one, but two important milestones.

25 years ago this week, Williams – affectionately known to colleagues simply as ‘Dange’ – landed his first metro radio gig, at 101.9 The Fox.

After brief stints at Nova and 2DayFM, today marks 18 years at Melbourne’s 105.1 Triple M.

Dange posted to Instagram:

“It’s not lost on me how privileged I am to work at this iconic station. To anybody that has tuned in, thank you.”

Prior to his metro move, Dange spent nearly 4 years as Breakfast host and Music Director at Shepparton’s SUN FM.

The best in the biz. He was kind when I appeared on a ‘jock free weekend’ in 2000.
If Dave Grohl is the nicest guy in rock, Dangerous Dave is the nicest guy in radio.
An inspiration, a friend, a legend.
Congrats on the run so far mate, here’s to the next 20yrs!
