Staff Writer

This Saturday Double J celebrates 25 years since the release of Nirvana’s Nevermind, one of the most revered and influential albums of the past few decades.

Across the weekend, the station will play archival interviews, and a rare live set recorded by triple j at Melbourne’s Palace Theatre, as well as catch up with artists Nevermind influenced.

Double J will play a Smells Like Teen Spirit documentary at the weekend, which looks at the single that broke the album and made Nirvana an international household name.

The concert features Nirvana live at Melbourne’s Palace Theatre, the station will also feature music from arugably one of the greatest years of music ever – 1991; and on Sunday morning at 10am Double J will play Nevermind in full along with a series of archival interviews.

Now that’s some nice weekend listening right there.
