Diversity Work podcast honoured at Webby Awards

Reporter

Fresh from its success at the New York Festivals Radio Awards, the recently launched fictional podcast Diversity Work has been honoured again, this time at the Webby Awards.

Presented each year by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, The Webbys recognise excellence on the internet.

Produced and directed by AFTRS Discipline Lead Pearl Tan (pictured above), Diversity Work won both the Webby Award and the People’s Voice Award in the category of Podcasts Scripted (Fiction) (Limited-Series & Specials).

The podcast also recently won the Silver Trophy in Innovation at the New York Festivals Radio Awards.

Diversity Work explores the personal costs behind the push for more diversity in television.

Launched late last year, the 5 x 30-minute limited series is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

It’s further recognition for the work of Pearl Tan, who has been a finalist in the 100 Women of Influence Awards and named the most influential in the Arts and Culture category in the 40 under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australian Awards.
