Darwin radio man fired

Late last week we told you about a Darwin radio man that was in some hot water (see here).

Well now the 'NT News' have reported that HOT 100 and Mix 104.9 PD, Phil Brandel, has been sacked after an internal investigation found he created an alter ego named 'Claudia' and used it to have a go at other NT media outlets.

NT Broadcasters GM Mark Johnson has said…

"We were able to confirm the message sent to the NT News emanated from the mobile phone that had been allocated to Phil Brandel … consequently his employment with our company was terminated."

Brandel left the station immediately.
