Nova’s Red Room to go virtual on Zoom during COVID-19 outbreak
Nova’s Red Room will relocate from live music venues to the Zoom app next month.
American singer-songwriter and social media personality Conan Gray is first up. He will perform his hit ‘Maniac’, plus tracks off his new album Kid Krow.
Listeners will also be able to go one on one with Gray during a fan Q&A session.
Paul Jackson says Nova’s Red Room Live Stream will continue to deliver fans intimate live performances with their favourite Australian and international artists.
“In these difficult times the power of music and supporting the music industry has never been more crucial,” said Jackson, NOVA Entertainment’s chief programming & marketing officer.
“With artists currently unable to deliver a traditional concert experience to their fans, it was important for us to explore new ways in which we could provide a different money can’t buy live music experience to our listeners.
“Nova’s Red Room Live Stream will provide opportunities for us to work with our industry partners on a range of Australian and international artists, enabling them to connect intimately with their fans.”
Gray created his own YouTube channel in 2013 and since then has garnered over 179 million YouTube views.
In November 2018 he released his debut EP Sunset Season, featuring a string of successful singles which clocked 300 million streams.
His houses the smash hit ‘Maniac’, with the next single dropping in late April.
Australian fans have adopted Gray as their own, streaming his music more than 28 million times in his short career.
