Clint Stanaway departing TV to focus on radio full-time
After almost 25 years, Clint Stanaway will depart Channel Nine at the end of this year to focus on radio full-time.
Alongside Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips, Stanaway is one third of Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren Breakfast show.
Stanaway says “It’s been a huge workload juggling both TV and being part of the Melbourne Nova breakfast team over the past couple of years. I am passionate about my new found love for radio and have decided to give it priority moving forward, while I also look to strike a better work/life balance.”

Stanaway began his TV journey in the news library at GTV9 in Melbourne.
He honed his reporting skills at WIN Television in Bendigo before returning to 9News Melbourne as a general reporter and court reporter.
In 2010, he was later appointed Weekend Sport Presenter for 9News Melbourne.
Throughout his sports journalism career, Stanaway has been at the forefront of major global events, covering the Olympics, World Cups, Grand Slams, Melbourne Cups and numerous AFL Grand Finals.

For the past three years, Stanaway has co-hosted Weekend Today, a role he has managed alongside his ongoing duties as the weekend sports anchor for Melbourne’s 6pm news bulletin.
Stanaway said “I’ve always treasured my job, be it on 9News, as co-host of Weekend Today or as part of the Wide World of Sports team. I’ve met so many wonderful people, shared some incredible stories and experienced the most unforgettable moments. The thrill of live television is so addictive, it’ll never leave me.”
“While I step away with a heavy heart, I suspect it won’t be forever. The Nine family has been so good to me, and for that I’ll be forever thankful.”
