Cliffo and Bronte: Hit Queensland’s new breakfast show

Bronte Langbroek is leaving her afternoon announcer role with Mix 106.3 to join Guy ‘Cliffo’ Clifton on Hit Queensland’s breakfast show from Monday, November 7.

Langbroek replaces Cliffo’s long-time on-air partner, Gabi Elgood, who is moving back to her hometown of Canberra as Bronte departs it.

Bronte started in radio in Brisbane on Nova 106.9, and on the Gold Coast’s 90.9 Sea FM and 92.5 Triple M, before heading on the radio tour of studios in Griffith, Wagga Wagga, Geelong and Canberra.

“I can’t wait to return and defrost in the Queensland sunshine,” said Bronte.

“I’m so looking forward to working alongside someone who has created arguably the most successful statewide breakfast show in the country.

“I have a huge amount of respect for Cliffo, and to share a studio with him and begin a new era for the show is so exciting. Plus waking up every day in North Queensland is a dream!”

Cliffo welcomes Bronte’s talents to the show.

“Bronte is outgoing, intelligent and just super fun. Pretty much everything I’m not. Teaming up with her is going to be like one of those rare MAFS marriages that actually works,” said Cliffo.

The announcement was made today by Blair WoodcockSCA Head of Content – Regional, who said, “Bronte’s been one to watch for a number of years now and having her move back to her home state and to pair her up with Cliffo is really exciting!

“Together they have a natural spark that’s going to create some really entertaining and engaging content right across Queensland!”

Bronte is the niece of radio and TV presenter, Kate Langbroek, who she said has been a great source of inspiration in her career.

Cliffo & Bronte will wake the state on Hit Queensland Breakfast from Townsville to Toowoomba and beyond every weekday from 6am to 9am, from Monday, November 7 and on the free LiSTNR app.
