Christian O’Connell’s producer Rio cracks the odds big time (we’re not yolking!)

Something truly inconceivable happened today on GOLD104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show, when producer Rio brought in a carton of regular eggs, which had already produced FIVE double yolks.

Rio proceeded to crack each remaining egg – live on air – as everybody held their collective breath.

What were the odds that all 12 would contain double yolks???

Then, it happened. 12 out of the 12 eggs did indeed have double yolks.

Rio explained “Since Sunday, I’ve been holding on to something which I think could be a part of human history.”

“Sunday morning, I’m making scrambled eggs. Will and I do it every weekend. I crack the first egg: it’s a double yolker. I crack the second one. Double yolk. We got not just four double yolkers, guys. Five double yolkers in a row.”

“I have saved the remaining seven eggs. Could we possibly pull off the never-before seen double yolk dozen?”

“The odds (for 12 double yolks) is a number I’ve never even heard because it’s a 1 in 1000 odds for any chicken to lay a single double yolker.”

 “So to get 12 in a row, I mean, I don’t even know what this word means, but it’s 1 in 1 undecillion.”

To which Christian said “You’re 16 times more likely to win the lotto than getting a carton of 12 double yolkers.”
