Christian O’Connell & Coles send care packs to frontline workers

Gold104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show has spent the last week putting the wheels in motion to help frontline workers in Melbourne, after a nurse called into the show and asked for help supplying her colleagues with Powerade.

Ebony told the show that she and other nurses work entire shifts in PPE and aren’t able to take it off to rehydrate while working.

After Christian O’Connell shared her story on air, listeners began to pull their support together, and thousands of bottles of water and Powerade were donated by Melbourne’s business community in a matter of days.

Now, Coles has partnered with The Christian O’Connell Show to donate a whopping 2,500 care packs which will be sent out to 22 hospitals across Victoria.

The packs include Powerade, tea, coffee, ready meals, snacks, and other important items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, lip balms, face wipes, and hand creams.

Other donations included $5,000 from AIA, 10K bottles of Powerade and water from Coca-Cola Australia, and a coffee machine + fridge going from E&S to two hospitals in n eed.

The care packs will include essentials such as water, Powerade, coffee, ready meals and toiletries. Such amazing news and a big thanks to Coles for helping make it happen.
