Staff Writer

Iconic Australian rock star Chrissy Amphlett has died of breast cancer today. Chrissie was 53 years old, and has been fighting the cancer for some time.

Speaking on Triple M, former manager Andrew McManus said that he visited New York last week knowing that Chrissy was in the final stages of her battle.

McManus commented on Triple M;

"I know it sounds a silly thing to say but when Charlie rang me… she can now sing, she can be pain free and she can be back to the Chrissy Amphlett of old."
