Canberra Survey 1 released

The first Canberra survey result for 2013 has been released.

104.7 hold onto the #1 position for the 13th consecutive survey and have increased their lead, now 7.1 clear of Mix 106.3. They are up 5.3 to 23.9%. Breakfast (Scotty & Nige – right) were up 3.8 and now #1 overall, 4.6 clear of the ABC. Mornings, arvos and drive are all up and clear #1’s. Nights was down 1.9 and #2. Weekends were up 7.5 and now #1, 7.2 in front of Mix.

The demographics see them a clear #1 under 40 and they have regained some of what they lost in S2/2012 in 18-24’s, up 16.1 to 50.3%. 104.7 were down 10.6 with 10-17’s but still clearly #1. Their gains with 25-54 will also be encouraging for the team.

Mix 106.3 move to #2 in Canberra, jumping ABC666. They went up 4.5 to be on 16.8%. Rod & Biggzy (left) were the biggest gainers in this survey at breakfast, up 6.5 to 14.1%, going from 6th in the market to 3rd. Just like 104.7, Mix also saw gains across the day – mornings up 6.2, arvo’s up 5.5, drive up 1.9.

They regained ground in 25-39, up 9.7 to 23.8% (#2) and 40-54, up 8.9 to 28.8% (#1).

The Capital Network stations swapped places this survey with 2CA up 1.5 to 6.8% while 2CC dropped 1.6 to be on 6.7%.

ABC666 lost #1 breakfast to 104.7, dropping 1.4 to 17.9%. Overall they are down 0.9 and now 3rd in the market on 14.0%. Radio National and ABCFM were the big losers at breakfast, going down 3.7 and 3.1 respectively. triple j lost out in all dayparts aside from a 1.2 lift in drive.
