Cale for the Drive Home goes live at sea

Fresh 92.7’s Cale Porter is always looking for fresh ideas to keep his show Cale for the Drive Home exciting for listeners. This year, he went out with a splash, presenting his show live at sea.

“For my last show of 2022, we broadcasted ‘Cale for the Drive Home’ live from out at sea for the first time in 24 years [of Fresh 92.7],” said Cale. 

“I pride myself on pushing the boundaries of where we can broadcast live from, but had never done a show out at sea before.”

Cale invited listeners to enter a competition to join him on a yacht for the live broadcast by sharing their favourite moment on the show this year.

“We were blown away by the amount of entries to celebrate the first day of Summer on our Private Boat Party,” said Cale.

“Listeners along the foreshore could see the yacht out at sea while we broadcasted live.”

Cale hosts the Drive slot on Fresh 92.7 on weekdays from 4pm, he’s held live shows out of ice cream trucks, slushie trucks and he has even released a promotional cider with his face on it.

“This was a perfect interactive activation to send off the year as well as service a client’s advertising needs.”
