Billie Eilish is Live At The Wireless on triple j

triple j is set to present a special edition of Live At The Wireless, taking listeners front and centre for Billie Eilish’s Sydney show.

The rising star has taken radio by storm since the turn of the year, with her music crossing over from alternative radio and making waves at commercial.

On Tuesday, April 30 she’ll perform at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, and triple j will broadcast the entire gig live.

“Billie is living the life of a teenager in 2019 through her music, and that rawness and relatability is what’s making her music connect with such a huge audience who are going through the same experiences,” says triple j.

“That form of sincerity can’t be faked. Billie also doesn’t fit into any specific box with her sound – it’s sweet and innocent, yet dark and ominous.

“She has pop sensibilities with roots that spread across indie rock, RnB and experimental electronica and we can’t wait to hear her play it live at the iconic Hordern Pavilion.”

Ahead of the gig, triple j Good Nights host Bridget Hustwaite is giving away some of the last remaining tickets to the show that is fully sold out.
