Besties turn their podcast success into a real-life cure for loneliness
After building a global podcast community spanning more than fifty countries, best friends Nicola Dale and Di Edwards are taking their mission offline with the launch of a feel-good dance event, designed to bring women together in real life.
The creators of the Over The Back Fence podcast will host the inaugural Feel-Good Friday: Back Fence Disco in Balgowlah on Friday, May 29, transforming a local fitness studio into a hub for music, laughter, friendship and positive energy.
What began as regular chats over a shared back fence has evolved into one of Australia’s more uplifting independent podcasts, having featured more than 200 guests including Ita Buttrose, Maggie Beer, Layne Beachley and Lisa Curry.
Now, Dale and Edwards are responding to what they say is a growing need for authentic human connection beyond screens and social media.
A portion of the night’s proceeds will go towards supporting Beyond Blue.
