Bernadine Oliver-Kerby to host Coast breakfast with Jason Reeves

Former Assistant Editor

NZME have unveiled the new lineup for Coast breakfast in 2018, with experienced broadcaster Bernadine Oliver-Kerby set to jump ship from NewstalkZB.

Her radio career began 13 years ago, with Oilver-Kerby known for her work with TVNZ, NZ Herald Focus and Sky Sport.

She’ll now leave her role as newsreader on ZB’s Mike Hosking breakfast, to join Coast as breakfast co-host with Jason Reeves.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Jason on the Coast Breakfast show,” she said.

“While I’ve been a journalist and newsreader for many years, co-hosting a Breakfast show will be a completely different world for me and I’m ready to learn a new skill set and have some fun with hosting.”

“With only a floor between the ZB crew and me it’s the perfect move. I’m sure there won’t be too much separation anxiety!”

“We are so pleased to have Bernadine join Jason on the Breakfast show,” added the station’s content director Raylene Ramsay.

“Bernadine’s vibrant personality is a perfect fit for our contemporary station.

“I can’t wait to hear them sharing their lives, and the lives of our listeners, and still playing the classic hits from the superstars.”

Oliver-Kerby will join the Coast team as of January 22, 2018.
