Bel & Emma G’s colossal prank on SAFM colleague Bernie Vince

Bernie Vince clearly didn’t know it was April 1st today.

This morning on SAFM Breakfast with Bel, Bernie & Emma G, Bel and Emma G revealed a special April Fools’ Day prank that was 24-hours in the making.

Ahead of a new Breakfast show launching in Adelaide, show producer Tom Reynolds yesterday broke the news he was leaving SAFM to join the new Ben & Liam brekky show on KIIS.

The entire SAFM Breakfast team was in on the gag. Everyone except Bernie.

Then came the big stitch-up.

Tom left the show immediately after breaking the news to the team.

Throughout the day, the team exchanged messages and Bernie even tried to call Tom – and the pair exchanged a beautiful text.

Tom: “Hey ol son, tough day there. I’ll give ya a buzz tomorrow for a chat … can’t express how much fun we’ve had, and how hard today was. Will talk tomoz!”

Bernie: “Yeah I can imagine. I can’t believe that’s it now. We did have a lot of fun. Amazing opportunity for you. Just don’t do your job too well OK!! Looking forward to chatting tomorrow.”

Early this morning, Tom surprised Bernie, who wasn’t exactly thrilled with the prank.
