Ballarat’s Power FM pulls off the perfect secret proposal

Reporter

Love was certainly in the air at Ballarat last week, where Power FM played cupid, secretly helping Neil to propose to his beloved Tara.

It was all part of a romantic competition called The Secret Proposal, with Neil submitting a beautiful entry about why he wanted to pop the question.

His was chosen as the winning entry. The prize included a ring worth over $3000, a $1000 dinner at a local steakhouse, a $1000 accommodation voucher and flowers.

Power FM got down to work, changing Neil’s voice on-air, and blurring him out in socials whilst out ring shopping.

All was finally revealed with a proposal at Sovereign Hill, where the couple had their very first date.

A delighted Neil thanked the Power FM team for making the dream come true:

“The people at Power FM have literally helped me prove that romantic fantasies can become a reality.”

“We just received the photos from the event and have both been deeply moved by the fact that this memory – which we will forever hold dearly, was captured in an array of beautiful photos. Tara and I will always be truly grateful for this, and can’t wait to see the joy that waits for us as we venture into this next chapter of our lives.”

“Big hugs for LJ and Alex for their positive and bubbly support.”
