October 21, 2015 is the date that Doc Emmet set in his Delorean as he and Marty McFly went into the future in Back to The Future 2. Here’s a rundown of how you guys covered it. 

Tanya & Steve taking Newcastle Back to The Future

When it comes to celebrating the 30^th Anniversary of one of the biggest movies of all time… Tanya and Steve from KOFM in Newcastle are certainly not slackers! 

They gave away four trips “Back to the Future” to LA where it all began, even complete with a sneaky stopover in Hawaii.

From Monday Tanya and Steve will be road testing the trip – visiting Universal studios and chatting with cast members from the movie including Lea Thompson (Marty McFly’s mum), James Tolkan (Principal Strickland/star in Top Gun), Jeffrey Weissman (Marty’s dad) and Claudia Wells (Marty’s girlfriend).

River 949 Back to the Future Month

On October 1st, River 949 kicked off Back to the Future month. A month long celebration of the biggest events, movies, and music from the last 30 years.

They gave away stacks of the 30th anniversary Back to the Future trilogy DVD packs in the build up to the big day.

Today River literally turned the clock back to 1985, with news, traffic, and sport updates from this day 30 years ago, and every song from 5am till 6pm was from 1985.
