Aussies shine in Canada
The Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry awards (see here) will be held on Thursday 22 March in Toronto. Generally it would not be a particularly noteworthy event in Australia, however this year there are two Australian finalists.
Ronnie Stanton is a finalist in the 'Program Director of the year' major market category, for his work on Hot AC formatted Virgin Vancouver. Prior to moving to Canda, Ronnie was at Nova Melbourne, Hot 91 Sunshine Coast and Hot FM Townsville.
Additionally, Steve Hart is also a finalist in the 'Program Director of the year' medium market category. Steve programs a AAA/Classic Rock station called Free FM in London, Ontario and has worked in numerous Australian markets.
