Aussie comedy podcast scores double bronze at 2023 Signal Awards

Hot on the heels of achieving ‘Indi Comedy Runner-Up’ at the Radio Today Podcast Awards, the Attrick Brothers have struck again. Twice. This time in New York!

Their podcast Hangin’ Out With The Old Fellas (live from Spindly Pines Nursing Home) has won 2 Bronze prizes at the 2023 Signal Podcasting Awards.

Hosts Barry and Jerry describe their podcast as “Today’s world events, properly interpreted by your favourite Old Fellas, for the benefit of the young people.”

Jerry paid tribute to the writers, producers, fans and Spindly Pines’ mini-bus driver, saying “New Bloody York?! We can’t go to New York! We’ll miss curfew!”

After downing a handful of the pink and white ones, Barry was more conciliatory. “Since the announcement, there’s been a lot a very excited people here at Spindly Pines – which isn’t necessarily a good thing. In fact, we ran out of Mogadon!”

Episode 19 achieved Bronze as ‘Best Commuter Podcast – Single Episode.’
