Ash London firms as punters favourite to be permanent Rusciano replacement

Staff Writer

Sportsbet has already moved to create a betting market on who’ll be Em Rusciano‘s replacement on 2DayFM Breakfast, with Ash London the shortest odds at $2.00.

Em quit the Em, Grant and Ed Breakfast show this morning, announcing this will be her last week before she takes time off to have her third child, and won’t return thereafter.

She’d featured as a host both on the 2017 incarnation with Harley Breen and in 2018 with Ed Kavalee and Grant Denyer.

SCA announced that Nights host Ash London will be Em’s temporary replacement, but punters are already backing the likeable personality to be made permanent on the show.

Hit Network Weekends presenter Tanya Hennessy ($3.50) and former 2DayFM Workdays host Ellie Angel-Mobbs ($5.50) are also paying short odds to get the gig.

Hit Mid-Dawn presenter Danny Lakey ($8.00) and triple j’s Linda Marigliano ($12.00) round out the top 5 with the best odds, while former Jackie ‘O Henderson ($81), Sophie Monk ($101) and Eddie McGuire ($501) are rank outsiders.

“The writing was on the wall with this one for a while now and if ratings are better with Ash behind the mic then we’re sure she’ll be given the role permanently,” said Sportsbet’s Will Byrne.

Jessie Eva from The Block. Radio experience, national profile. That’s my money.

No chance to any of them, they need a former Married at First Sight star with a radio background for sure.

What about Bianca Dye in Brisbane? She has become a voice of women in that city and has a national profile with The Today Show. SCA would be crazy to not consider her
