ARN launches 2020 marketing campaigns across all markets

Staff Writer

Australian Radio Network has rolled out nation-wide advertising campaigns for its capital city stations.

The 2020 campaign sees new advertising for Sydney’s KIIS 106.5 and WSFM, Melbourne’s GOLD104.3 and KIIS 101.1, Brisbane’s 97.3FM, Adelaide’s Mix102.3 and Perth’s 96FM.

Rolling out across all digital and social channels from today (Monday, January 20), the campaigns will have a staggered outdoor launch in the coming weeks.

The Kyle & Jackie O Show is front-and-centre for ARN’s Sydney advertising, positioned with a ’20 Years Sydney’ line.

Meanwhile, KIIS 101.1’s campaign sees a new positioner for Jase & PJ – ‘They’re always up to something’ – which ARN says is designed to capture the authenticity, fun and unpredictability of the show.

ARN rolls out new creative for Gold FM Melbourne and the Christian O’Connell Breakfast show, off the back of the station ending 2019 as the #1 station in the market.

Off the back of Robin Bailey’s return to 93.7FM, new creative features the line ‘Together again for Breakfast‘ on the Robin, Terry & Bob Breakfast show.

Mix102.3 Adelaide is ‘Adelaide’s Fun Breakfast’, with a poster featuring Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom and Jodie Oddy (who is currently on maternity leave). The poster is tacked with ‘and Erin Phillips‘ who is filling in.

96FM’s new campaign features an image of Perth, continuing with its branding of ‘Real Music’ with Botica’s Bunch continuing in 2020 after helping turn around the station’s fortunes last year.

And not a night show in sight. Sad considering Arn used to rule the nights airwaves and are now leaving smallzy and ash + co to take the space… surely a show announcement is imminent ???

@Dan a night show isn’t going to win you the day. The audience in nights isn’t what it use to be when Ugly Phil and K&J were on. Smalzy isn’t live which shows Novas lack of care and don’t ARN package up a Jase and BJ replay show? Breakfast, drive, arvos, mornings is where it’s at. So no, there will be no announcement anytime soon….. Or billboards for the not coming announcement.

Absolutely agree Dan, but I’m guessing the cumes aren’t there for 10-17’s like they were in the early 2000’s.

Hence the demise of Channel [V] with kids streaming on demand now.

Technology has changed the consumption, having said that, to have the leading CHR in Sydney not have something at nights other than self promotion is disappointing.
