ARN holds NAIDOC Week Power Half Hour

Reporter

This week, ARN hosted a special internal staff event: ‘In Conversation – A NAIDOC Week Power-Half-Hour.’

It included two special guests in CADA DJ Soju Gang and singer-songwriter Scott Darlow, with the conversation monitored by ARN’s Head of News and Information Fiona Ellis-Jones.

Soju is a Gunai/Kurnai, Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri woman and Scott is a Yorta Yorta descendent and a mainstay of Australia’s Indigenous and independent music industry

ARN staff across the country took part in the event, during which Fiona chatted to Soju and Scott about Australia’s First Nations cultures and what NAIDOC week means to them.

It’s one of several initiatives ARN is running this week to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
