ARN has congratulated all its nominees for the 35th Australian Commercial Radio & Audio (ACRA) Awards, having achieved a record-breaking 133 nominations across 40 categories.

Leading the charge is KIIS 1065, with 19 nominations spanning content, promotions, and marketing, including a nod for Station of the Year.

Gold104.3 also joins the Station of the Year category, along with 1029 Hot Tomato in the Non-Metro category.

KIIS 1065’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show received 13 nominations, including Best On Air Team (Metro), an accolade they have won eight times.  They are joined in the category by Gold104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show and last year’s winners, WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda.

Jackie O Henderson and Christian O’Connell are also finalists for Individual Talent of The Year (Metro), as is WSFM’s Ugly Phil O’Neil.

A year after winning the ACRA for Best Metro News Presenter, Patrina Jones from Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show is up for the Glenn Daniel Award – Best News Presenter (Metro).

In the Provincial categories, 1029 Hot Tomato’s Galey & Emily Jade and Moyra & Big Trev have been nominated for Best On-Air Team, while in the country iteration of this category, Power FM Bega’s Brad & Hutzy, Magic 93.1’s Brooke & Bob and Chilli FM Launceston’s Adam & Issy are vying for the top honour.

Katie Woolf from Mix 104.9/Hot 100 Darwin continues to shine in the news categories with five individual nominations this year. Recognised again for Best Talk Presenter (Non Metro) and the Brian White Award for Excellence in Journalism – awards she has claimed for the past two years – Katie is also nominated for Individual Talent of the Year (Provincial), Best Current Affairs Presenter and Best News Event Coverage.

On the podcasting front, ARN’s iHeart has received five nominations, including Amanda Keller (Double A Chattery) and Brittany Hockley & Laura Byrne (Life Uncut) who are vying for Podcast Host/s of the Year, while Tony Armstrong (The Pool Room) is in the running for Best New Talent-Podcast.

Did SCA miss the entry deadline this year?? The once mighty network has really fallen off the radar, hardly any nominations this year.

Congrats to ARN on an outstanding number of ACRA finalists.

Not a single nomination for ABC.

Clearly a great use of our tax dollars.
