ARN celebrates 9th year in partnership with Sydney Royal Easter Show

Reporter

ARN is celebrating its ninth consecutive year in partnership with the Sydney Royal Easter Show and KIIS 1065, GOLD 101.7, CADA and WAVE FM will all be spreading the cheer.

2025 sees the return of Kyle & Jackie O’s Haunted House, featuring the new Neon Nightmare room, which looks like a party but feels like a trap.

The KIIS Eye also makes its return, taking showgoers to new heights for a 360° view and a KIIS playlist to match. With room for prams, this ferris wheel ride has been designed for the whole family to enjoy.

KIIS 1065 will be giving away tickets across The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Workdays with Gordie, Weekends, online and by finding the KIIS Thunderbirds on the streets of Sydney.

GOLD 101.7’s Jonesy & Amanda’s DOD-JAMS are back in 2025. This year’s edition features all-new dodgem cars. The GOLD 101.7 Roadies will also be on-site, handing out free ride passes.

CADA will have an online competition for listeners to score themselves a family pass to the Show, while WAVE FM will drive the Wollongong audience, with chances to win on-air in Breakfast and across the day.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show returns from April 11 and runs until April 22.

“KIIS 1065 will be giving away tickets across The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Workdays with Gordie…”

That will sound great for the listeners in Melbourne for both programmes.

Another free ad for that breakfast show.
Geez it’s just a showbag.

To me, it feels like ARN are only really going through the motions with their marketing/promotional initiatives at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Despite occasionally fraying around the edges, it’s mostly stuff we’ve seen before.

Despite having a heavily promoted Seniors Day OB last year, I gather that 2UE are likely to have a reduced presence there this year.

One would guess 2GB will again do OBs on their stage near the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome for at least part of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, especially as event visits (and therefore, possible program interviews) by politicians on the campaign trail are likely.

No idea about 702 ABC Radio Sydney plans for Easter Show 2025, but I’m also fairly sure they usually do an OB or two there every year. And of course, the students of AFTRS will be back with Show Radio AFAIK however that seems to be an online-only thing these days…
