Are you cape-able?

Staff Writer

April has been transformed with the swirling of a cape. CAPRIL – now in its eighth year is about wearing a cape in everyday situations to fight depression.

The idea for Capril came from Get This with Tony Martin and Ed Kavalee with Richard Marsland “on the buttons”.

As we know Richard Marsland passed away due to depression and many wanted to honour his memory and so Capril has continued every April.

Like the guys did on Get This, it’s about cape-ing up through the month, wearing a cape in everyday – from ordering a morning coffee, at a desk, doing the photocopying to walking the dog – any time of day. The aim is to talk about depression and donate funds to support Beyondblue with the national depression and anxiety initiative.

You can find out more about CAPRIL on their website, or Twitter or Facebook page.
