Andy Lee goes for gold

Less than a week after Hamish & Andy topped the Australian Podcast Ranker for a record 21^st time, Andy Lee is back in the spotlight.

Lee is among the seven nominees for this year’s Gold Logie.

He and fellow broadcaster Tony Armstrong are both the running for the top award as Most Popular Personality on Australian TV.

Lee – host of The Hundred – joked to 9Entertainment “I think there must’ve been an administration error and they’ve confused my name with Hamish Blake’s.”

Blake – Lee’s good mate and long time radio and podcast partner – is also among this year’s nominees. He’s up for Most Popular Presenter for his role as host of Lego Masters Australia.

Blake is a two-time winner of the Gold Logie, taking home the award in 2012 and 2022.

Matt Okine – co-host of the All Day Breakfast podcast – has been nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy for this role in Mother & Son.

The awards will be held on Sunday August 18 in Sydney, which is hosting the Logies for just the second time in 37 years.
