Andrew Thain & Sarah Passalick to host new Mix 104.9 Breakfast show

Grant Broadcasters’ Mix 104.9 in Darwin has a new Breakfast lineup of Andrew Thain and Sarah Passalick.

The show has been through a number of changes of late, kicking off with Greg Vincent’s departure last year.

Vincent’s co-host Ali Burton has also been absent from the airwaves, with Grant Broadcasters previously telling Radio Today that Burton remains part of the station, but is on personal leave without a firm return date.

Thain has been hosting the show in Burton’s absence.

He will now be joined by Sarah Passsalick, who has over a decade’s experience in radio. She has been assistant program director for Mix and its sister station Hot100, as well as hosting Breakfast and Afternoons on Hot100 at various points.

NT Broadcasters’ general manager, Mike Harvey, said Passalick would be a wonderful addition to the station’s lineup, according to quotes across News Corp’s stable of titles.

Passalick added: “The Northern Territory is my home – I love its people and can’t wait to bring a fresh new feel to the show and to the station.”

Grant Broadcasters had previously said it was “reshaping” the Breakfast show and was looking to grow its audience.

The new show kicks off on Tuesday, June 15.
