Ali Donnellan Departs Triple M, Joins SGC Media
Ali Donnellan left her role as Operations Manager at Triple M Brisbane last week, and joined the team at Brisbane-based national music marketing company at SGM Media this week.
SGM Media has pretty impressive artist roster on the go – with promo clients including Sticky Fingers, Twelve Foot Ninja, Abbe May, Sheppard, BIGSOUND, Lime Cordiale, Cub Sport, MJR Touring and more, the company’s Music Send division also looks after industry marketing tools including the Play MPE music delivery system and Radio Monitor airplay tracking which Donnellan will be working across.
“Making the leap across the fence from radio to music is an exciting prospect,” said Donnellan. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of working with a fast-growing tight-knit team, while still being close enough to legitimately keep in touch with my radio buddies during work hours.”
With her appointment, there will be some minor shuffles in the business with Managing Director Stephen Green taking on a new strategic marketing role, concentrating on industry partnerships and streaming promotions.
“The world has moved on faster than independent music marketing has in the last few years,” said Stephen Green. “The added capacity we’ll see in our business with Ali on board will enable us to broaden our service offering to attack areas of marketing that will deliver real audiences for music, not just traditional PR and radio plugging boxes. Ali’s vast radio history and experience dealing directly with audiences will bring another dimension to the team when it comes to executing our crazy ideas.”
