The top advertising brands in Queensland and New South Wales radio have been unveiled by AirCheck with lifestyle company Harvey Norman landing in the top positions for both states.

The lifestyle company along with its sister company Domain took out the two top spots in NSW with over 8,000 plays in the last four weeks, with the most of the ads being broadcast on Newcastle’s NewFM, collecting a total of 1,951 spots.

They were beaten by National Tiles for the number one spot in QLD which garnered just under 3,500 plays over the month, with most occurring on the Gold Coast’s Gold 92.5; Brisbane’s 4KQ being only two spots behind.

Woolworths sat comfortably at the number four position in both states, pulling in 2,270 plays in NSW and 1,744 in QLD.

The only remaining campaigns that both states shared was Commercial Radio Australia’s Radio Alive campaign that sat at number three in NSW and number five in QLD, as well as The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal which reached number nine in QLD and number eight in NSW.

The other campaigns on the NSW list include NRMA Insurence, Bing Lee and National Broadband Network.

The QLD list held the likes of Coles, Kia and BodyCare Nutrition.
