Age names best AFL callers
There are more media outlets calling AFL than any sport in Australia, and this means high demand for commentators, and high expectations of their performance.
In addition to television stations, there are plenty of radio stations with full commentary teams: 3MMM, 3AW, ABC 774, SEN in Melbourne, plus K-Rock in Geelong.
The Age today has named the best AFL commentators in Australia, as compiled by a panel of experts.
They have listed Dennis Cometti (left) at number one, below is the rest of their list:
