AFTRS graduates become 98.1 Power FM’s new breakfast team 

Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) graduates Anny Russell and Lachie Brickley have recently joined the Australian Radio Network in the Hunter Valley as the new 98.1 Power FM Breakfast ShowAnny and Lachie.

The pair have bought their knowledge and on air chemistry together to entertain the Hunter Valley Region in NSW with “100% fun.”

Anny previously worked as a Breakfast EP at Wave FM after completing her bachelor’s degree at Charles Sturt University in Communications majoring in Radio and recently finished full-time study at AFTRS with a Graduate Diploma in Radio and Podcasting. 

“Radio has always been a passion of mine and to have this opportunity is honestly a dream come true,” said Anny.

“I love having a laugh with the Hunter Valley every morning and putting a smile on their face as they start their day.”  

Lachie graduated from AFTRS in 2021 and has moved across from his first gig as an Afternoon Announcer at MAX FM in Taree. He is “Beyond excited to fulfil a dream working in breakfast radio in such a beautiful part of the world.”

“2023 is our year,” said Lachie.
