Adelaide radio journos explore the motherhood journey in new podcast

Reporter

How Motherhood Changed Me is a new podcast dedicated to exploring the journey into motherhood through real stories, learnings and lots of laughter.

Created by Adelaide radio journalists Kerrie Turner and Jenna Yates, it’s a heartfelt and relatable look at the unique ways in which becoming a mum changes a woman’s life.

Kerrie and Jenna met in a radio newsroom in 2015 when Jenna covered Kerrie’s maternity leave.

The idea for the podcast was hatched one night over a glass of bubbles, inspired by their own transitions into  motherhood and the desire to connect with other mums and let them know they’re not alone.

“No woman can say motherhood hasn’t changed her, but every mother’s story is different,” says Jenna. “We’re here to unpack it all!”

Listeners can expect a blend of storytelling, valuable insights and plenty of laughs as Jenna and Kerrie chat with inspiring guests, share their own journeys from maiden to mother and provide a platform for others to share their experiences.

“Think of us as a mother’s group in your ears,” says Kerrie.

How Motherhood Changed Me has quickly garnered worldwide attention. The podcast’s Instagram following has already reached 11.5k, with one clip viewed more than 1.7 million times, demonstrating the support for and viral reach of the podcast.
