Adam Boland joins TEN

Staff Writer

Adam Boland, the man who changed breakfast television's model by basing Sunrise on the breakfast radio format, has been revealed as the new boss of the Network TEN morning schedule.

Boland, who has now left Seven, will join TEN in a fortnight and will be responsible for the 6am-Midday period.

In a statement the new CEO of TEN, Hamish McLennan, said; “We are very excited about hiring Adam, who is one of the best television news executives in Australia"

Boland commented; "I firmly believe in Hamish and his management team, the plans they have for the company and their strong commitment to innovative programming. Frankly, the decision to join them was a no-brainer for me. I know it's a place where I can have some real fun."

Boland's role is an important one, with TEN presently suffering from disastrous ratings, and no morning strategy after the axeing of the Paul Henry experiment.
