A very familiar Santa & Mrs. Claus bringing joy to sick kids

Former Assistant Editor

This time of year sees Kyle and Jackie O hold their annual toy drive for the Sydney Children’s Hospital, and this year was one of their biggest.

This year saw the KIIS FM Breakfast team gather $80K worth of toys for sick kids, thanks to TOYMATE and donations from KIIS 106.5 listeners.

Kyle made a very convincing Santa this year, while Jackie O had no issue pulling off Mrs. Clause — as they gave their instructions to Elf Pedro and Elf Pete to make personal Christmas deliveries to some of the hospitalised kids.

Among those kids to receive special early Christmas gifts were 5-year-old Oliver and 8-year-old Iona, who were both diagnosed with leukaemia this year, 8-year-old Amanda who has cyctic fibrosis, 14-month old Raphael who has spent most of his life in hospital and 7-year-old Neve who has been coming to the limb clinic for the past few years.

They all wrote letters to Santa and were stoked to see the Kyle and Jackie O’s elves bringing them exactly what they wished for.
