A new breakfast beginning at 2UE

2UE have launched their new breakfast show this morning.

Ian 'Dicko' Dickson and Sarah Morice have replaced Jason Morrison who is now presenting drive on the station (as reported here).

In the Daily Telegraph, Dicko has joked that it's the first time an AM network would have "two breakfast presenters with boobs".

"But we're not going to be soft and fluffy…..we will talk about politics if that's what's in the news that day."

"We're going to speak as we feel on every subject and offer a bit of an alternative."

Talking about 2GB's Alan Jones and how they plan to get his listeners to try the 2UE combination, Dicko said he would "bribe them with shop-a-dockets".

"Beyond that, we're just going to try and put on a good show."

When asked about Jones, Morice said she had "never had the pleasure" of meeting him but she "respected his freedom of speech".

"He has the right to say whatever he wants and that's what we also plan to do."

Alan Jones is still on holidays with Chris Smith filling in.
