96three FM’s Aiden In The Arvo creates the ultimate democracy sausage
96three FM Geelong’s Drive show Aiden In The Arvo has created the ultimate democracy sausage.
In the lead up to Saturday’s Federal Election, host Aiden Grant has taken listener flavour suggestions and put together a mouthwatering sausage for voters to enjoy this Saturday.
The end result was a perfect representation of the major political parties. It includes potato, feta cheese (for ‘cheesy Albanese’), rosemary for The Greens and a base of lamb to unite the nation.

Tony from East Geelong Quality Butchers was given the task of creating the masterpiece, which is now on sale – for one week only.
Aiden said “Politics is the worst! No one gets excited for an election but now we have something to get excited about, the ultimate democracy sausage! It’s been a great way to connect with the community and bring a bit of fun to a very boring topic that everyone is talking about.”
Along the way, there has also been a ‘dog election prediction.’ This involved two sausages placed in front of a dog, one representing Labor and one Liberal.
The dog was left to choose. Labor won his vote.

Everything wraps up on Friday with a free barbecue for listeners at 96three’s Grovedale studios.
“I’ll do the drive show with a mic in one hand and tongs in the other!” says Aiden.
Aiden In the Arvo can be heard from 3pm – 6pm weekdays on Geelong 96three FM.
Just shows you don’t need the big budgets of SCA or Nova to put something great together for listener. Great seizing the moment!
