92.7 Mix FM’s Give Me 5 fundraiser cracks $7 million 

The 92.7 Mix FM Give Me 5 for Kids appeal has officially hit a total of $7 million dollars raised in its 20 years active, thanks to the most recent contribution of $514,947. 

“We found out today that Give Me Five has officially cracked 7 million dollars – so we’re pretty stoked,” said 92.7 MIX FM Breakfast Announcer, Mark Darin.

“That’s a lot of MIX barbecues.”

Over the month of June, Mix FM announcers Mark & Caroline, Lyndon, Todd, Sami and Jordana have facilitated over 20 different events to contribute to the cash pool, including the Cash Clean Up, where over $125,000 was raised in just one day.

92.7 Mix FM Breakfast Announcer, Caroline Hutchinson, said the team was happy to reach their target.

“In our heads we are always aiming for $500k – we scraped over the line with a last-minute donation of $25k. Feeling very grateful today, for a whole Sunshine Coast effort,” Hutchison said.

Money raised in 2023 will support the health needs of local Sunshine Coast patients and families with equipment for the Child Continence Service, Equipment for Birth, the continuation of the Clown Doctor Service, the Calm Fairies, the Delta Therapy Dog Program and more.
