90.9 Sea FM hosts Spring Soiree to officially welcome Danny Lakey

Hit’s 90.9 Sea FM on the Gold Coast officially welcomed Danny Lakey to the team this weekend, hosting a Spring Soiree to mark the occasion.

Around 100 guests were invited to the Surfers Pavillion event that solidified Lakey’s new place in the Sea FM team and heard stories about his path back to the Goldie.

Joined by breakfast co-hosts Bianca Dye and Ben Hannant, Danny talked of his radio journey and what he loved most about returning to his much loved Gold Coast, the place of his formative years. 

It’s not common knowledge that Danny worked at Wet n Wild and Labrador McDonalds ten years ago and has come full circle, returning home to the Gold Coast, where he got his first gig in radio.

The Spring Soiree cocktail party saw guests don their brightest and most floral prints and sparkles.

Sea FM daytime announcer Bella Frizza also hosted an onstage session to entertain crowds.

Until recently, Lakey was the co-host of Hit NSW Breakfast with Maz & Lakey, and before that, hosted The Danny Lakey Show on Triple M National Nights.

Lakey joins the Bianca and Ben in the place of Dan Anstey who recently moved home to Brisbane to join Marto and Margaux for Breakfast on Triple M.
