88.9fm Tamworth CEO George Frame retires
George Frame is retiring as CEO of Tamworth’s 88.9fm after ten years of service at the local community station.
In making the announcement today, Tamworth Broadcast Operations President Kevin Tongue said Mr Frame made the decision to step away from his CEO duties following recent major surgery.
Mr Frame said “It has been an honour to serve the station and meeting and helping so many of the community.”
“There have been many stories over the 10 years and I have seen major changes to the local media industry.”
“Working with such a dedicated staff over the years has made the station a leading community station in the state but now it is time to move on”
Mr Tongue on behalf of the board wished Mr Frame good health and expressed his and the board’s appreciation of his contribution to the station.
Mr Tongue said there will be a restructure of the station to meet the challenges of a changing industry.
