Over 2 Million Votes: 7HOFM’s Apple for the Teacher

Recognising the important contribution teachers make to the lives of our children, 7HOFM has announced the winner of this year’s Apple for the Teacher comp.  Over 2.1 million votes were received for the record 602 nominated teachers with Luke Sorrentino from Illawarra Primary School, Blackmans Bay announced as Hobart’s favourite primary school teacher.

Luke won an Apple Macbook Air laptop and an iPad Mini for each student in his class. 7HOFM GM Col Taylor said, “it’s heart-warming to see our parents and children acknowledging the teachers that go above and beyond their job to ensure the happiness, security, wellbeing and most importantly education of our children.”
