612 ABC Brisbane goes Technology Free

612 ABC Brisbane is undergoing a technology detox as part of Reboot Your Life month across the ABC.  That means no emails, text messages or using the internet for research.  And they can only use their mobile phones to receive calls.

The ABC Drive team will be turning back the clock relying on typewriters, newspapers and a transistor radio to find news – the Old Fashioned way.

Presenter Emma Griffiths said “It will be a back to the future adventure. So far the lack of emails has been liberating.”

Acting Content Director Rob Mailer is looking forward to hearing the program the Drive team put together today.  “I’m curious to see if the team end up more, or less stressed without technology” said Rob.
