5tcbFM Radiothon starts today

Reporter

5tcbFM – the local community station in Bordertown, South Australia – has kicked off its annual Radiothon.

It started at 7 this morning and runs until 5pm on Friday.

With individuals and local businesses having generously donated some great prizes, the station hopes to raise $15,000 dollars.

The money will go towards maintaining and improving  services at the station, as well as the completion of the Gordon Coad Museum, named after the founder of 5tcbFM.

It’s been an exciting and somewhat nostalgic time for 5tcbFM volunteers.

Station Manager Sardia Kakoschke says they’ve recently discovered the station’s original console, along with reel to reels (pictured above).
