4ZZZ & Amrap announce ‘Sounds Like Community Radio’ broadcast

Brisbane’s 4ZZZ is teaming up with the CBAA‘s Amrap to present a special live broadcast celebrating Australian community radio stations this September.

‘Sounds Like Community Radio’ will be a tribute to community radio and its some 6 million weekly listeners around the country.

4ZZZ will showcase some of community radio’s most prominent local acts, celebrating the platform that has often launched the careers of up-and-coming musos.

Artists performing on the day include Tralala Blip, Laura Imbruglia, Huntly, Emily Wurramara, McKisko, Gordon Koang and DRMNGNOWwhile The Goon Sax will perform live from the 4zzz Carpark.

4ZZZ and Amrap are also inviting listeners and guests to come and tour the station.

There’ll be music directors from  Triple R2SERSYNPBSEdge Radio and 4ZZZ on hand to chat about community radio and music.

Sounds Like Community Radio takes place from 2pm-7pm on Tuesday, September 3.

It will be live on 4ZZZ 102.1fm and streaming on 4zzz.org.au
