4BC to broadcast live from Ekka

4BC Brisbane will broadcast live from the Royal Queensland Show starting this weekend, bringing all the team heavyweights along.

Showgoers will have the opportunity to come down and see the team in action from the Ekka’s Agricultural Hall as they tackle nine days of live broadcasting.

Spencer Howson will be the first 4BC presenter to greet Ekka-goers with his Weekends show from Day 1 (Saturday, August 12), and the last to bid goodbye for another year when he wraps up the festivities on Sunday, August 20.

Breakfast trio Laurel, Gary & Mark will kick each weekday off alongside the roosters with their show starting from 5:30am before Ray Hadley takes over the mic at 9:00am.

Starting at midday, Sofie Formica will then see listeners and patrons through to 3.00pm when Peter Gleeson begins his Drive show to wrap up the day.

4BC Content Manager, Max Dudley is excited to take the show to listeners as well as draw patrons to the Ag Hall.

“Broadcasting over 75 hours of live and local programming, Brisbane will have a ticket to every exciting day of the Ekka by tuning in to 4BC Brisbane,” he said.

“An open invitation is extended to everyone visiting RNA Showgrounds to come and say hello. It’s going to be a great nine days!”

RNA Chief Executive, Brendan Christou, said: “In what is the biggest celebration of country and city coming together, it’s great to have 4BC returning to the heart of the Agricultural Hall to capture all the Ekka action.”

4BC’s live broadcast can be caught at the Royal Queensland Show from Saturday, August 12 until Sunday, August 20.
