Chairman, Max Moore-Wilton also announced the appointment of three non-executive, independent directors to the SCMG Board.

Max himself is also set to leave the board and company as Chairman. His exit is planned for the current fin year, once they secure his succesor.

The new directors are

Robert Murray, formerly CEO of Lion Nathan and the Kirin/Lion Group in Australia
Kathy Gramp, formerly CFO of the Austereo Group
Glen Boreham, formerly CEO and MD of IBM Australia and New Zealand.

Max Moore-Wilton, the Chairman of SCMG, said, “We are delighted to welcome Robert, Kathy and Glen onto the Southern Cross Board. Each of them brings considerable management and enterprise expertise, garnered during very successful executive careers.”

It’s planned each will take on their roles from 1 September, with each of the new directors standing for election as a director at the Company’s AGM on 21 October.

The new appointments follow the departure and resignations of Marina Darling and Tony Bell this year and Michael Carapiet;  who advised he was going to step down at the 2014 AGM.
