2RPH celebrate 30 years on-air

2RPH is celebrating 30 years of being on-air.

The radio station read books, daily newspapers and magazines for the blind and vision impaired. They also now cater for a different audience – students learning English, commuters or just about anyone who is unable to hold a newspaper and want to get the latest news and information.

Jonathon Coleman and Ian Rogerson (Jono & Dano) did their first 2RPH show in 1985 when they finished up at Triple M and went to 2SM for breakfast. They are still involved with the station and are their celebrity ambassadors.

During 2RPH's 30th birthday celebrations they have had many radio and TV personalities lend their talents to support the ongoing work the station does as they look to raise funds to keep the station going.

They will also be airing special shows with guest presenters.
